Experience

2000 – date Marketing, Communications and Business Consultant - Dublin/London/Cornwall

Advising companies on core marketing issues. Corporate Recovery and Business Rescue service in Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Kerry.

Advised key food companies on diversification and expansion as a consultant to the European Union Objective One scheme in Cornwall.

1995 – 2000 CEO of a Communications PLC - London

Guided and backed this successful start up company from it’s inception into PLC status

1985 – 1991 Principal of Marketing Consultancy - Perth/London

Grew the business from one single office in Perth, Scotland into a National and European presence with offices in Aberdeen, Perth, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London Knightsbridge, London Docklands, Dublin and Brussels.

Business initially based on marketing advice to construction industry and branched out from there into IT and food industries. Carried out research and created strategic marketing plans.

Worked in conjunction with Strathclyde University and Cranfield School of Management and was appointed chairman of the inaugural consultancy group of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

1982 – 1985 Managing Director – Structural Steelwork Company - Scotland

MD of Structural Steelwork Company. Led the marketing effort which saw the business grow. Contract negotiations with Exxon, Shell, Wimpey, Laing, McAlpine etc.

Additional Information

Gerry was twice elected as a City Councillor in Dundee, active on Town Planning and other Committees.
